2004 Editor's Choice Yankee Magazine Travel Guide to New England

A big THANK YOU to all who participated in the Currier Musuem's Yarn in the Yard Fiber Arts Project this past weekend!

The Elegant Ewe Stitchers ended up contributing 347 square feet of fabric to this event, enough to wrap the Welcome sign in the courtyard of the museum as well as a large light post: Shown here with Jennifer Ryan, the artist who designed the exhibit (pics below are the pieces before they were sent over to the Currier). We are thrilled to let you all know that, in addition to this past event, you will also be represented as artists in the Community Gallery at the Currier. The exhibit will be ready to view in a few weeks. I will keep you all posted as to when this happens- How exciting!

(Another big thank you to Roberta Lavey, our EE Representative/Photographer for this event.)

We love Lucy...and her yarns...and her patterns...

We currently have a fantastic trunk show happening here at the Ewe! Lucy Neatby has loaned us several of her most fun and interesting models- Many are worked up in the way cool self-striping Kauni yarn, many in her very own Celestial Merino or Cat's Pajamas, both of which we have a great selection in stock of at the moment. Stop in to peruse these lovely pieces and find out what makes Tradewinds Knitwear so special!

We are thrilled to announce that we currently have in the shop the long-awaited Cherry Matchless spinning wheel from Schacht Fiber Arts.

This beautiful double-treadle wheel comes with a complete set of all 6 whorls, high and regular speed bobbins, matching lazy kate and niddy noddy. We only have one of these beauties left after the NH Sheep and Wool Festival so if you have been lusting after a new spectacular wheel, we'd suggest coming on in to take a spin sooner than later!

Also, we have had a few of our lovely knitting bowls by local artisan Bill Burns come back from Sheep and Wool as well. All one of a kind, great for keeping your balls of yarn from rolling around the floor, and they look just beautiful in the living room. These are the last we will have until the end of summer- Stop by the shop today to find yours!
